GENERAL PRINCIPLES

  1. Age Requirement: Wild Frontier is strictly 18+. Age verification may be requested.
  2. Respect & Conduct: Treat all community members with respect. Zero tolerance for discrimination, harassment, hate speech, stalking, or suicidal roleplay.
  3. Immersion: Maintain serious, realistic roleplay appropriate to the 1901 setting. Character names must be historically plausible.
  4. Communication: English is required. No external communication during gameplay.
  5. Staff Authority: Staff decisions are final. When addressed by staff, find a safe place without breaking character.
  6. Roleplay Bleed Prevention: Separate your character from yourself. Do not:
      • Allow IC relationships to influence OOC interactions
      • Let OOC feelings affect IC behavior
      • Turn IC conflicts into OOC harassment

ROLEPLAY

Character Behavior

  1. Value Life (NVL): Your character must realistically value their life when threatened.
  2. Value Freedom (NVF): Your character must realistically value their freedom and act accordingly.
  3. Risk Assessment: If outnumbered or at gunpoint without a weapon, comply with reasonable demands.
  4. Period Authenticity: Maintain historical accuracy in clothing, behavior, and equipment. Bright neon colors are prohibited. No anachronistic concepts like rubber/wax bullets (which didn't exist in 1901).
  5. Voice Identification: You cannot identify someone solely by their voice. Use distinguishing visual characteristics, clothing, or other contextual clues instead.

Scene Management

  1. Group Size: Maximum of 5 players for criminal activities, PVP, or traveling to such scenarios.
  2. Combat Initiation: All combat requires proper roleplay initiation. No killing on sight (KOS).
  3. Scene Continuation: Build storylines from every interaction while respecting New Life Rules.
  4. New Life Rule (NLR): After death, avoid the killers and death location for 30 minutes.
  5. Revenge Killing: Prohibited. You cannot return to take revenge after respawning.
  6. Witnessing Crime: Civilians should flee to safety or alert law enforcement, not intervene.
  7. Body Handling:
  • Do not move bodies after initially dropping them
  • Do not camp/carry bodies for more than 15 minutes without consent
  • Bodies may be dumped in water

Safe Zones

  1. Valentine Green Zone: No crimes may be committed in this area. Violations will result in staff intervention.
  2. Sheriff's Office Defense Exception: Attacking law offices is prohibited except in circumstances of extended storylines. When Sheriff's Offices are legitimately attacked:
      • Law enforcement may exceed the 5-person rule to defend their offices
      • This exception applies regardless of the attacking group size (which remains limited to 5)
      • Sheriff Offices must not be attacked for trivial reasons such as freeing someone serving a short sentence
  3. Prison Transport: Attacks on prison transports must occur while in transit, not at starting or ending locations.

Prohibited Behaviors

  1. Metagaming: Using out-of-character information in-game.
  2. Powergaming: Actions outside your character's abilities or abusing game mechanics.
  3. Combat Logging: Quitting during active roleplay scenarios.
  4. Combat Storing: Hiding or despawning items/vehicles during conflicts.
  5. Trolling: Disruptive or foolish behavior that breaks immersion.
  6. Baiting: Provoking law enforcement or players unnecessarily.
  7. Third-Party Software: No crosshair software or other advantage-providing tools.
  8. Unwanted Roleplay: Forcing scenarios on others without implied consent.

      • Return to crime scene: 30-minute cooldown
      • Between robberies: 1-hour cooldown
      • No crimes 30 minutes before or 15 minutes after server restart
  2. Robbery Guidelines:
      • No robbing while victims are in menus
      • No robbing on-duty doctors/lawmen

        • Submit war terms via ticket before hostilities begin
        • Outside players cannot interfere in gang wars
        • 2-week cooldown period after war conclusion
  4. War Term Exceptions:
        • When negotiated with Management, specific exceptions to standard rules may be permitted
        • These exceptions must be documented and approved in advance
        • Exceptions are scenario-specific and not permanent

MEDICAL & DEATH RULES

  1. Unconscious State:
          • Remain silent while unconscious
          • Wait 10 minutes for medical response before respawning
          • Use /calldoctor only when genuinely needed
  2. Respawning:
          • You forget events leading to death
          • You should not return to the same area for 30 minutes
          • You cannot rejoin the scene that lead to your death (even after 30 minutes)
  3. Medical Roleplay:
                • Roleplay injuries appropriately
                • After being treated, refrain from combat for a reasonable period
                • Do not alter your injuries during medical roleplay
  4. Permanent Death (Perma):
      • Voluntary only, indicated by /me "perma"

TECHNICAL ISSUES

  1. Game Crashes:
        • If you crash during an active scenario, inform other players or staff
        • You remain subject to in-game consequences upon return
        • Be prepared to turn yourself in if you crashed during a law enforcement scenario
  2. AFK Protocol:
        • Find a safe, private location before going AFK
        • Being AFK in public does not protect you from roleplay consequences
        • Status messages do not exempt you from interaction
